Cloves

Cloves come from the flower buds of tree in the evergreen family, and are known for their aromatic, warm, sweet-bitter and pungent flavour profile. They are a key ingredient in spice blends like Pumpkin Pie Spice, mulling spice blends, traditional chai and in many dishes. Cloves are often paired with other warming spices like cinnamon, mace and nutmeg.

We use cloves in two of our chai blends - Original Chai Blend and Golden Turmeric Chai - and they are a must in our pantry on their own, too! Use whole or grind with a mortar and pestle into your favourite spice blends and recipes.
