It's chai season, and it's a great time to make Shanti Chai & Co's Big Batch Chai for those holiday parties with friends and family.
There's nothing quite like a big pot of warming whole spices and rich black tea simmering away on the stove with creamy whole milk and plenty of sugar. Chai is such a delightful addition to any gatherings and potlucks, and will make your home smell festive, too!

Shanti Chai & Co's Big Batch Chai Recipe
Makes: Twelve 8 oz cups
Brew Time: 20-30 minutes
You Will Need:
• 6 cups water
• Any 50g (12 serving) package of Shanti Chai & Co’s chai blends (Original Chai Blend, Golden Turmeric Chai, Candied Ginger Chai, or Rose Petal Chai)
• ½ cup sugar (or other sweetener)
• 6 cups milk (or substitute)
Brewing Steps:
- Bring water to a boil in a large pot.
- Add entire 50g package of chai, sugar, and milk. Stir occasionally and bring to a gentle second boil.
- Remove from heat and cool 1–2 minutes. Strain into carafe or fresh pot to keep warm. Serve and enjoy!
Serving Chai
Chai is a rich, spiced, sweet beverage, and is best served in smaller cups. We recommend 6-8 ounce cups for guests - with a second pour, of course!

Chai with Food
Chai pairs well with sweet treats, including shortbread, spiced cakes, coffee cake, gingerbread, and orange-cranberry loaf. Chai also pairs well with savoury snacks, like cheese plates, roasted nuts, samosas or spiced pastries.
